We are all fond of happiness…isn't it?? That's human nature to search for happiness. And nowadays we find such a lot of happy faces all round us…
Yes, all round us means in our virtual world …that's social media.
We all find each day lots of happy posts all scattered through the length and breadth of social sites.
So why then we say that we are living in an unhappy world??
Why is there so much of mental illness, lack of money and so much unhapiness?
The truth is that all of us want to show the happy and the best side of us infrontt of everybody. We do not want to show our sadness and our illness and all that is bad about us. We hate to portray an original selfie of us. We use so many apps and filters to beautify our pics and then we post. Nobody likes to post the original vulnerable side of us to the world.
But do you ever try to find how many people on social media are actually happy? There are so many people wearing branded clothes and posting pics on social media whereas that same person may not even have a permanent job to meet their needs.
There are so many people showing pics of foreign land and thereby showing their status. Nowadays there are many ways of visiting a foreign land. You can go for emi s and go to a beautiful place on a foreign country . But that does not portray the real status of the person.
Today anybody can wear Gucci, Dolce & Gabanna….and everybody can wear any good watches and buy anything they want. Previously in our grandparents time, if somebody had a car or wore a beautiful saree meant that person was rich. But today you cannot find out the actual rich person. It has become very puzzling.
Everybody wants to show that they are rich and happy. This creates a feeling of envy in the minds of people watching these posts. If somebody's husband is seen to post a picture in a new car, then the lady seeing the post feels unhappy unless her husband buys the same car.
It happens each day….and all through these social media.
But we must not forget that whatever we have , we should be thankful for those things. Many don't have the food we are eating each day, the house in which we are staying, many don't have a good life partner, and so many things in life.
There are many who doesn't have the ability to afford the social media or buy an android phone…But luckily these are the ones who do not post those fake posts portraying happiness. …..
So don't get carried away by the happy faces on social media…..and never compare your status with any post that anybody posts each day on social media….!!
