The Story Of Moth: A Lover Of A Light

Hello there! I'm going to tell you a beautiful story about Moths. You are aware that moths are drawn to light and we used to loathe the insects when we were children, and we may have even assumed that it could harm us. Yes, they are still dangerous because their wings can cause some allergic reactions in our body, but that's a story for another day.

I'll explain why they aren't afraid of light but rather drawn to it. Most of the time, you could see the moth enter our house and fly straight to the light, where it would sit on the bulb or a tube light. They adore light because it is aesthetically pleasing to them.

Shall we begin with the story? Perhaps your answer is yes.

Once upon a time, all of the moths gathered together at night in order to unite themselves with the light of the candle. Only one of them has the potential to bring them together.

One of them approached the candle and saw within the light but he could not gather any information from it.

Then another moth approached the candle, touched the flame of what he desired but the warmth of the candle drove him away, and he, too, was unable to return with the information.

And the third moth flies into the fire with his undying love for the light. He throws himself into the flame, and when the wise moth sees what he does, this moth has fulfilled his desire, and he alone know what he has done.

Any other moth, therefore, throws itself into the light to experience its true beauty.

But why are moths so drawn to light? Umm, because they are drawn to the moon and its light, they are drawn to white light in particular.

There is one line from the poem “The lesson of the moth” from “Don Marquis” , 'it is better to be a part of beauty for one instant and then cease to exist than to exist forever and never be a part of beauty."

I've also written a poem about a moth but it's more romantic in nature.

Like a Moth Hovers

She was waiting for him,

Like a moth hovers around the fire.

She runs, she runs, and she keeps running away,

but there was no escape because she always ended up on his desire.

Where does she want to escape?

Nowhere… because she always wanted to be a prisoner of his heart.

She writes, she writes, and she keeps writing always,

because he always ended up being her art.

She is still waiting for him,

Like a moth is still hovering around the fire.
