Hi All,

I hope you all are doing well. Today my blog is slightly different than my other blogs or blog I used to write. Today's blog is about the change candlemonk has made to its website.

Many of you might be already aware and being seen the changes as previous we were able to comment on any blog without reading it fully but now they have disabled this feature and now first you have to read the blog completely then only you will be able to comment on the blog.

Some of you might be happy with the change but some might not be on the other hand. In my opinion, this change is not a good move. As even we read it is still not showing or marking the blog as read. They might have made some condition of timing that if you are spending X minutes on the blog then only that particular blog will be considered as read. But this is not good logic because some people have really good reading skills and have a very fast reading for such passages. So, I do not agree or I am not satisfied with this logic.

I am not sure about many of you whether you are okay or not with this but in my opinion, it is not a good move and the following are the other disadvantages of this

Now views on our blogs will be less because we won't be able to comment on maximum blogs as we could do before

This is time taking process to read the complete blog and hence people would not be able to read a maximum of blogs

Most of the people here are working professionals and they have not much time to read all the blogs but before they could have comment by reading half of the blog

Now to make it a reading week you need to read 7 blogs and reading 7 blogs completely seems like a very tough task

I think they made this move so that people could not get more views and so they would not be able to reach the points needed for redemption. Hence they will always be in a win situation and they will get traction on the website but they don't need to pay anything to the bloggers.

This is taking too long..I mean spending 2 to 3 min in a blog is a hard thing to do. Read nd like mine as well

You are so right. This is a very bad feature, it’s like they don’t respect writer’s time and want us to work for them for free.

If you are a blogger then this shouldn't be a problem but if you are a comment spammer you will suffer as many of them came to make money but some came here to share his/her thoughts and read others too.

Exactly....thats the point....these changes are not very much favourable and this will definitely demotivate many people and they will leave the platform

@Pandeji Nobody is here to just wrote the thoughts. So many people are investing their time...and if nobody will view the blogs whats the point of even writing...

It didn't seem to have any difference in anything. Atleast now the people will read your blogs properly without just reading the keywords. Btw.. It's nice that you shared your opinion. Read my as well

i mean i agree people weren't reading the blogs properly...but this is too much. .they shouldn't have to set timing.... its getting really hard to reach that point where they start paying us or something

I definitely agree with you Some people can read quickly and thus if it is not marked as read it is of no use. Hence, we have to spend 2-3 min on a single blog.
