As I'd mentioned in my previous blog, I merely am an average Indian. I am 21 years old and here I am trying to figure out if it was some kind off addiction. This is my story, it happened 7 years back when I was studying in class 9. I was kind of an introvert and had a very few people who I'd talk to during my school days. I was constantly been made fun of during those days as I didn't know very well to communicate. Everything I did in my school day's was also pretty average, the marks I'd score used to tally up to 70% ; my attendance would come up to 90%.
So you can say that's why I decided to pen name me as an average Indian. Coming back to the topic, it was 2014 and I remember having 3 friends out of which one you can name him “X”. After class me and “X” would walk home as we stayed nearby each others houses. “X” had recently started to hangout with some of the seniors and had slightly parted ways with me and the other friend, call him “Y”.
So one day while walking home as usual, there was something unusual behavior with “X”. He kept telling that smoking a cigarette would make him cool, can pretty much say how naive he was. I tried to talk him out of it but then he did not listen to me and went to the shop making me wait and brought a cigarette. I tried as hard as possible to consider what he was doing but I ended up failing. I didn't know what could be done and started walking home all by myself.
The next day, on our way back home “X” again went to the nearest shop asking me to wait and would go smoke and come just to find out that I'd left already. This repeated until one day he asked me to join along. He literally convinced me that smoking would take away all the pain, and would make me look cool. I had a laugh about it and just walked off. The next day was the same, he offered me to join along while I took off. I was scared about the consequences of what might happen if I was caught at my home from the pungent smell, or worse what would the police do if I were to be caught in the action.
To know what happened next : stay tuned for part 2. CYA.
