The story follows a mother, Malorie played by Sandra Bullock, who must find the strength to flee with her children down a treacherous river in search of safety, but they'll have to undertake the journey blindfolded.
If you hear something in the water, you tell me. But you never ever take your blindfold. If you look you die. Do you understand? Malorie to her children…
The only way to survive is to stay absolutely quiet.
In a post-apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from vesps like creatures who have ultra sensitive hearing abilities who hunt their human prey by sound.
Spoiler: They cut off their tongues, knowing that their voice will only get them killed.
A QUIET PLACE is also a similar movie like THE SILENCE.

Rains just rain. It can't be that harmful!? A BIG NO..
STAY DRY. STAY ALIVE.
The Rain is actually a television series and one of the best survivalist drama to hit screens. A deadly virus carried by the rain wiped out almost all humans in Scandinavia. The raindrops carried deadly human manufactured toxin. It takes less than a minute for a person to die immediately after coming in contact with the deadly rain.
No of seasons:3
The Rain is partially scary when compared to other post-apocalyptic movies I'av watched.
Cargo is a post-apocalyptic drama film which premiered on 2017. Cargo is a simple zombie film which is not really about bloodsuckers but focuses more on the metaphor ‘fatherhood and sacrifice.' A father and his infant daughter stuck in the middle of a zombie apocalypse when the father gets infected and is in desperate attempt to find her infant daughter a safe home.
Based on Stephen King novel ‘The Mist’. An unnaturally thick mist that envelop the Bridgeville town, Maine. The worst part was there was more than just the mist, the residents learne that there are monsters in the mist that attack and kill anything that moves.
The Mist film(2007) has also been developed into ten-part television series which premiered on 2017. I recommend only the film though!
A South Korean disaster film about an outbreak of a deadly strain of H5N1.
The movie is great well done. There are some gut wrenching moments that makes you feel like you're watching it infront of you. Some parts are little overdone but overall still an amazing movie.
An attempt to reverse global warming gone-wrong
Snowpiecer by none other than world renowned filmmaker and my favorite South Korean Director Bong Joon- ho. With an experiment gone wrong, the earth has been rendered uninhabitable, thus the only people that survived where the one who boarded the massive train(Snowpiecer). A huge train that takes people all around the earth through out the year, the entire movie takes place inside the train. One can witness the class divisions inside the train over the years. The poor sections are shifted to the coaches at the back and they live in an unimaginable conditions. As the story proceeds, one of the leaders of the poor people encourage his comrades to rise in revolt against the rich and seize the train.
Check out his other amazing work..
