In elections when you vote for a party what is the proof that your vote is being counted or registered. This all is done by election commission of India which is a centralised authority.
If I say you that you can check if your vote is being counted or not.Yes you can and this system is called block chain technology .On this technology bitcoin runs.
There will be not centralised authority to govern it . The data will be feed in computers and which will be linked with each other. In this technology data is stored in forms of blocks means computers.
If we try to change the password of one computer then password of whole computers will change. That is next to impossible .So no one can do a fraud in this system.
Block chain technology can be used to store marksheet data that further cannot be changed .And also this will be your proof that you have passed from a recognised university or not.
NOW WHAT ABOUT PRIVACY???
No need to worry every computer linked with it has unique password and username. You can see your details anytime and anywhere.
Suppose we are voting from this system than no secret information of ours will be shared. Only our I'd no. Will be shared bo private information like name ,age or other data.
WHAT IF SOMEONE TRY TO FRAUD WITH THIS SYSTEM??
If you transfer $10 from x to y and 5 out of 6 computers read that your information is right but one denies then the computers will go with majority and information will be shared. Means to say if someone hacks this system then he will have to make 51 % majority to do a fraud .Which is impossible in this world because millions of computers are connected at different places in this world.
Now why will anyone link his compute to this network . He will get reward on daily basis and also punishment on wrong data analysis
This technology is already used in Sierra Leone a countr in Africa.
BUT ONE OF THE BIGGEST DISADVANTAGE OF THIS TECHNOLOGY IS THAT ATTACKS CAN BE DONE ,WHICH CAN SWITCH OFF THE NETWORK AND ALSO BLOCK IT.
IT IS USEFUL IN OTHER SECTORS LIKE:::
1.Medical data can be stored
2. Can be used in trading where they can connect each other directly.
It is not easy to implement and also a debatable issue. This was all about block chain technology.
