The most exciting thing when Beast was first announced was the first meeting of filmmakers Nelson and Vijay. Nelson made a strong impression with his unique and entertaining films like Kolamavu Kokila and Doctor, and then leap to try something very ambitious with Vijay, arguably one of the country's biggest stars. Progress has been made. Die Hard-inspired aggression thriller Beast was Nelson's attempt to make it bigger in terms of vision and scope, and only lethargic writing disappointed it.
The movie starts near Kashmir. There, R & AW officer Veeraraghavan (Vijay) is preparing for the mission for three months. At the last minute, the Government of India decides to discontinue the mission, but Veera opposes the order from his own boss and decides to proceed according to his original plan. He managed to complete his mission successfully, but as a result he was psychologically hurt and forced to quit service and go home forever. A few months later, he realized he was in the midst of a hostage situation. When a terrorist demands the release of their leader (originally captured by Veera), he is trapped in a mall with his girlfriend.
Nelson rose to reputation together along with his excellent use of darkish comedy in his first films. His remedy of humour labored wonders in his films and it even went directly to outline his fashion as a filmmaker. Unfortunately, his emblem of comedy is slightly found in Beast, which fits extra as a celeb automobile aimed handiest to raise Vijay`s big name image. This try is justified with the film`s well-choreographed motion sequences and super visuals, however the absence of Nelson`s emblem of comedy is a main dampener. Beast continues to be really well worth it slow however it isn`t as wholesomely wonderful as Nelson`s in advance films. It is really held collectively via way of means of Vijay, whose one-guy display is very well wonderful however isn`t sufficient to salvage an underwhelming film.
In small pieces, Beast responds to pre-release hype. The action sequences that were talked about before the release stand out, and Vijay kills it with his charisma in those scenes. This is Vijay's most stylish movie, but it's also something that style overwrites the substance and makes it less fun. The film would not have been disappointed by location if only stylish treatment was greatly complemented by good writing, especially by more powerful adversaries. Nelson, like his last movie, Doctor, tries to stick to his story by introducing the character to help the hero in a rescue mission. These aren't as interesting and memorable as this movie.
