The Story Of My Big Tree~

In this blog, I am going to tell you about a tree, a big tree which was there in our backyard.

It was of Semar ; it's a kind of tree having long trunk but not much broad with small sharp cones (like spikes)all over its stem, large branches though not much hard, leaves of medium size . Some special kind of flowers used to grow from the tree . Those were orange or somewhat reddish in colour, large in size plus heavy.

Due to the spikes , barely someone was able to touch it ; once I tried and got hurted in my palm. The whole tree was covered by the growth of our beloved Lemon tree. Both were grown near to each other .

The branches and the stem of the tree are used to make matchsticks and it's flowers are having medicinal properties also.

In some places , people use to make special type of dish from the flowers and they love to eat them, though I have never tried.

I loved that tree so much. I used to water it (the summer holidays spent with the tree were best).

I used to talk with that tree. It was my best companion, my best Buddy. I was so crazy at that time as I have played Holi with that tree and thrown water balloons at it ( Silly-little me). I used to play with it.

Once I made two big eyes and a smile on an A4 sheet and cut it down , then pasted over the tree. Now, it was having eyes and a big smile (Lol!). I was gone insane. I loved that tree so much , I truly got mad, you know!

I invented crazy ways for watering it.

Then, on February 1, 2016, it was cut down. The reason was genuine as my family also love plants and trees, truly a Nature-loving family. Actually, that tree was causing some sort of disturbance. The wall near the tree was facing directly the road and due to that tree and it's increasing growth, the wall started cracking. So ,for safety purpose, it was necessary to cut that tree.

I was at school when that happened ( thinking about the tree).  While coming back from the school , walking near the house , I always used to see it swinging ,it's leaves falling due to blowing wind but on that day I saw nothing like that as it was all over now. The tree was gone for forever.

I directly came to the room then ran towards the backyard. It was grown near the backyard's gate at the very left side, there were 2 stairs going down to the ground.

I always used to sit there ,for the better conversation with the tree, near to it. But that day when I went there, the whole ground was covered with its remains. Its branches , leaves , the main stem, all were scattered over the ground. I was standing on one of the stair, looking at everything, my eyes were filled with tears. I felt something strange in my heart ( A broke might be).

I still go to that place , sit at those stairs , watch all the view and miss that tree.

At that time, I wasn't having any camera or something to click its picture, but I am having a very small part (a piece) of it safely kept in my diary (till the end).

I still remember and love that tree, MY BIG TREE.

Thank you for reading.
