Hey guys!!!! I wanted to write something about this topic for a long time. I believe everyone can relate to this feeling. I have written a poem about one-sided love. After reading, do tell me if you like it or not😅. My poem is called “stupid flower” and here it is,
STUPID FLOWER
What a stupid flower!! Had fallen in love with the butterfly.
What a stupid flower!! Doesn't it know that a butterfly will fly from one flower to another??
What a stupid flower!! This flower also has the life of a day.
What a stupid flower!! Still, it took the risk to fall in love with a fickle butterfly.
I always think about how can someone peacefully live with one-sided love. This means loving someone without hoping for them to love us back is like dying little by little every moment. Thinking about someone the whole day and unable to tell them, missing them and unable to tell them. One-sided love is really painful. When you love someone and they don't love you back, it hurts. But it hurts more when they know you love them though they don't let you move on just for their advantage. Don't be a fool, being in love with such people. On the other hand, when you get love unexpectedly, it's just mesmerizing. In this case, I would like to say, don't be a fool letting go of such a love.
A few years ago I have seen the movie “The Holiday”. After watching this movie I was able to feel how painful one-sided love can be! The character Iris was in one-sided love and she knew the person she is in love with that she loves him but doesn't care about it at all. Several times he had taken the advantage of her feelings, though Iris was ok with that because she was in love with him. There is Iris's dialogue, here are some lines I love,
“Most love stories are about people fall in love with each other, but what about the rest of us? What about our stories, those of us who fall in love alone? We are the victims of the one-sided affair."
The other character Amanda was running away from love and unexpectedly she got love and she accepted it. That's all I am talking about this movie, you should watch it to know more.
