HOW TO CONCENTRATE ON STUDIES
Studying is tough for some people and for some it's natural. Regardless of whether you're getting a PhD. or somebody beginning secondary school, sorting out some way to remain on track while getting several distractions is what everyone faces. 1. Find a suitable environment-
Environment means the surrounding where you are studying. It has to be a peaceful place rather than a chaotic place. Because that will help you in concentration and make studying easier if you concentrate on the subjects.
2. Make studying a habit-
It's all about our habits. If someone doesn't have the habit of learning and understanding topics it won't help to memorize the topics.
3. Keep away things that distract you-
Most of us get distracted while studying, specially this younger generation. We often get distracted by the smartphones, laptops etc. All the things which distracts us and deviates us should be kept far away. It will help us to concentrate and we can study with full focus on the subjects.
4. Divide and keep some space between study sessions-
After studying a topic you should take a break. It will help you in properly remembering the topic. It freshens the mind and we can study the topic without any complication.
5. Use the Pomodoro Technique-
Pomodoro Technique is used for splitting the study sessions into different parts. In this technique we get 25 minutes to do a certain work, fully focused on that particular work for those minutes. We have to try to complete that particular task in those 25 minutes without being distracted. It keeps us motivated and helps us to focus.
6. Find the best tools-
We should always keep markers with ourselves, it will help us mark the important pages and the important lines that we might need to study in future again. Take all necessary objects that are required for the subject you are preparing for, else it would break the concentration.
7. Focus on learning, not grades-
If you learn the topic properly and you can answer all the questions, that means you have prepared the topic accurately not just to score marks but to know more about the subject. If someone aims at scoring higher marks and doesn't understand the meaning of what he his learning he will eventually forget about it. So just understand and learn, you will automatically start scoring higher marks.
8. Schedule time-
Time management is the most important thing in studying any subject. Because is someone doesn't plans what to do next after completing the present task, then it would be hard for them to complete up their studies in the given time. Make a chart, start following up the chart, it will help you to figure out things and you will be studying in a proper plan.
9. Exercise-
Regular exercise benefits not only our body but also our brain. It improves mood and sleep, reducing stress and anxiety and can help in focusing.
10. Write weekly, monthly, yearly reviews about your progress-
It is necessary to understand and keep a note about your progress. It will make you feel encouraged if your progress is in a proper way. You will also know that to do next in order to complete the task.
