THINKING  TOO  MUCH  ABOUT SOMETHING OFTEN INVOLVES  MORE  THAN  WORDS โ€“

Overthinkers conjure up disastrous images , too . Thinking  too  much  prevents  you  from  getting  anything  done .  And ,  it  wreaks  havoc  on  your  mood .

Overthinking  can  become  such  a  habit  that  you  don't  even  recognize  when  you're  doing  it. Start  paying  attention  to the  way  you  think  so  you  become  aware  of  the  problem.

SIGN THAT YOU MIGHT BE OVERTHINKING INCLUDE :

:- Dwelling on past events  or  situations                                                           :- Second- guessing decision you've made.                                                        :- Replaying your mistake in your mind.                                                              :- Imagine the worst case scenario or outcome.                                              :-Questioning but never making a decision or taking action.

Dwelling  on  your  problems , mistakes , and  shortcomings , increases ,  your  risk  of  mental  health  problems .As your  mental  health  declines , you  are  more  likely  you  are  to  ruminate  on  your  thoughts .  It's  a  repetitive  cycle  that  can  be  tough  to  break .                                                                                 Overthinking  can  becomes  such  a  habit  that  you  don't  even  recognize  when  you're  doing  it . Start  paying  attention  you  can  become  aware  of  the problem.                                                                       If   it's  something  you  have  no  control  over -  like  a natural  disaster - think  about  the  strategies  you  can  use  to  cope  with  it.                         Focus  on  the  thinks  you  can  control ,  like  your  attitude  and  effort.   The  way  you  respond  to  your   thoughts  can  sometimes  keep  you  in  a  cycle  of  rumination , or  repetitive  thinking.                                   The  next  time  you  find  yourself  continuously  running  thing  over  in  your  mind,  take  note  of  how  it  affects  your  mood .

HAVING  SELF-AWARENESS  IS  KEY  TO  CHANGING  YOUR  MINDSET.

HOW  TO  STOP  OVERTHINKING :-                                                                                  Shut down  overthinking  by  involving  yourself  in  activity  you  enjoy .                                                                                                                                      1. learning   some  new  kitchen  skills  by  tacking  a  new                                 recipe.                                                                                                                  2 . Going  to  your  favorite  workout  class .                                                      3 .Taking  up  a new  hobby  like  painting ,  Drawing  , dance .                      4 .Volunteering  with  a  local  organization .

TAKE  A  DEEP  BREATH  - Find  yourself  tossing   and  turning  over  your  thoughts , close  your  eyes   and  breathe  deeply .

MEDITATION  -  Developing  a  regular  meditation  practice  is  an  evidence - backed  way  to  help  clear  your  mind  of  nervous  chatter  by  turning  your  attention  inward.

DO  SOMETHING  NICE  FOR  SOMEONE  ELSE -  Trying   to  ease  the  load  for  someone  else  can  help  you  put  things  in  perspective .  Think  ways  you  can  be  of  service  to  someone  going  through  a  difficult  time.                                                                                                         Realizing  you  have  the  power  to make  someone's  day  better can  keep  negative  thoughts  from  taking  over  it .

RECOGNIZE AUTOMATIC NEGATIVE THINKING  - use a notebook  to  track  the  situation  giving  you  anxiety ,  your  mood , and  the  first  thought  that  comes  to you  automatically.
