The Taste Buds of Indians are habitual to different cuisines inhibited in the culture of our country and the hearts of people. Though We Indians, in general, are a mix of cultural diversities because of our history down the memory lane. It can be seen in our food habits also. Although, Indian cuisine is famous throughout the globe. Thus, We Indians have different tastes and delicacies throughout the subcontinent. Our country's food got divided according to regions such as Punjabi, Marathi, Bengali, South-Indian, Kashmiri, North-eastern, and various others, etc. 

The one that's famous throughout the subcontinent, the Punjabi food, and its delicacies are known to the other side of the world more significantly due to its traditional custom and practice of Langar. The old gates of the holy city of Amritsar hold the key to the heart of Punjabi cuisine and its various delicacies. 

Amritsar is a city in the northwestern Indian state of Punjab, 28 kilometers from the border with Pakistan. At the center of its walled old town, the gilded Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) is the holiest gurdwara (religious complex) of the Sikh religion. It’s at the end of a causeway, surrounded by the sacred AMRIT SAROVAR tank (lake), where pilgrims bathe. The best example of Indo-British architecture, however, is the KHALSA College, designed by the famous architect Ram Singh, a resident of CHEEL Mandi, Amritsar. His works include the  Hall of Queen Victoria at Osborne House, UK the DARBAR Hall of Mysore and Kapurthala, Chiefs College at Lahore, and several other outstanding examples of Indo-British Architecture. He was the pioneer in taking the exquisite PINJAR Woodwork and wooden carvings of Amritsar and making them popular all over the world.

The Heritage Walk showcases some exquisite woodwork and traditional architecture. The city is the cultural capital of Punjab today.
