Some Good Points About Indian Education System.

Our Indian Education system is often criticized by a lot of people and it is agreeable that it has some flaws and defects but some really good concepts are found only in our education system. Some that we inherited from our culture and some that just came up from our society. And how can I say this so confidently? Because as a part of group research in class 10 vacations  I along with my friends we chose to compare our system with the top 5 best education systems and I was impressed by our system a lot in terms of these ideas.

So, let’s jump right into it

  1. Parents Teacher meeting

If you are a school-going student then you must be very irritated as our school frequently conduct PTMs literally after periodicals, mid-terms, boards, and even pre–boards. We see this as something horrifying but it is beneficial for us because at least parents get to know how their child behaves outside and whether he likes studies or not. PTMs are not conducted in many schools in different countries or if conducted they are very less in number.

2.Stream selection

In India, just after our 10th, we are supposed to choose a particular stream out of PCM, PCB, Commerce, and Humanities and pass our 12th board in it to pursue it further. But such a rule doesn't exist in foreign where they see the final scores of the last year of school or most probably students have to appear for entrance exams. However, in India too now CUET has been implemented and the new education policy also focuses on breaking the barriers of the stream system.

3.Uniform

This is the best part of our system almost every school in India has a uniform unlike schools in many western countries. Uniform ends the difference between poor and rich student and makes them equal and also helps students to focus on their studies rather than getting conscious about their dressing, looks, hair, etc. You must have seen how students are bullied in American and European schools this system also helps to prevent bullying since everyone looks the same and follow the same code of conduct.

4.Mid-day meal scheme

Now, lunch is served in almost many schools in western countries but the Mid-day meal scheme is one of the largest schemes of its kind. It was implemented to provide nutritious food to poor children and increase the enrollment ratio in the sense that many parents will send children to school in the hope that their child gets to eat something, and eradicate malnutrition.

So, these were some concepts practiced in our country which I found interesting to share with you. I will try to share more in my next posts till then please like, share and follow for more content like this.
