One of the best thing about cats is that cats are very independent creatures, they are quiet happy to have time to themselves. In fact, cats sleeps for about 15 hours a day so you do not need to worry about them being bored when you are at work.

Cats keep pests away as they are natural born hunters. While you should never, ever allow your cat to eat bugs and mouse as some bugs may be harmful to your cat.

Cats are very good at cleaning themselves. They can spend up to a third of their waking hours grooming themselves. They also groom other cats and also sometimes humans.

Cats likes to sleep on thing that smells like their owner like pillow, blanket, clothes, chair or sofa etc.

Cats live longer when they stay indoor.

Cats like to sleep in laundry baskets too because they are basically hiding places with peep holes.

Cats often attack your ankles when they are bored.

If you cannot find your cat you should look in a box or a bag as these are some of their favorite hiding places.

Many cats like to lick their owner's freshly washed hair.

Night visions of cats are much better than of humans.

Cats can jump up to 6 times of their  length.

Some cats can swim too.

Cats purring may be a self-soothing behavior, since they make this noise when they are ill or distressed, as well as when they are happy.

Cats grooming process stimulates blood flow to his skin, regulates his body temperature and helps him relax.

If your cat approaches you with a straight, almost vibrating tail, this means that she is extremely happy to see you.

Meowing is a behavior that cats developed exclusively to communicate with people.

Your cat drapes its tail over another cat, your dog, or you as symbol of friendship.

Cats are very fuzzy about their water bowls, some prefer to ignore their bowl entirely in favor of drinking from the sink.

Cats can also be toilet trained.

Each cats nose print is different much like humans fingerprints.
