There are many board games that we have played since childhood, one of the oldest is Ludo, it has been there for a long time and was a favourite pastime of the Mughals when they ruled India.

Ludo is an indoor board game that originated in India, it is simple and anyone can take part, we need is minimum two and maximum four players, it is so popular that there are so many Android apps that have tournaments online based on the game.

The game is played with each participant having four coin shaped tokens and the objective is to get all your tokens home in order to win the game.

Ludo is a game of chance or luck where it's about the roll of the dice and it depends on the laws of probability, we cannot accurately decide what number we will get and who win or lose in advance.

Experienced players of the game will tell you that rolling the dice is random and not planned but you need to have a strategy and think ahead to outsmart their opponents.

The game received attention during the pandemic, spending long hours at home and looking for a way to pass the time, Ludo is the answer, you can play genuine online tournaments and compete against real players to win prizes.

There is a movie called Ludo that is based on the working of the game, the movies has four stories in place of the four players in the game.

The one advantage that online Ludo has over the physical board game is the opportunity to play the game anywhere, anytime and anyplace as per your convenience.

Ludo is a game where you need to be in control and have focus, one has to know when to move which token at the right time in order to reach home and win the game.

What makes Ludo fun, whether you play it online or in person is it brings people together and we learn more about the other person, the game has to be taken in the right spirit, winning isn't everything.

Playing Ludo teaches us that we cannot depend on luck, we have to think logically and reason out our strategy, there are people who prefer playing Ludo instead of playing video games that are repetitive and violent and do not give the individual an opportunity to develop their thinking abilities.

Depending upon your point of view, some claim that Ludo is an addictive game and time consuming , it is unpredictable, one cannot set a time limit for the game, sometimes it gets over quickly or it can go on for hours at a time.

When we play Ludo, we need to have the right attitude, unfortunately, some people cannot accept defeat, they cheat and use unfair means to win, this is common in online Ludo tournaments where bots are used to achieve success.

In the end, Ludo is enjoyed by millions worldwide, regardless of who you are and where you come from, played the right way, it helps us to relax and have a good time.
