Is Ashwathama Still Alive?

In the Hindu Mythology, there are two main epics first is Ramayana and the second one is Mahabharat. The Mahabharat happened approximately around 3rd century almost 3000 to 5000 years ago, it is a such a famous well written epic and the author of Mahabharat is Veda Vyasa , which i think everyone is aware about. Mahabharat depicts the story of Kurukshetra war which happened between Kauravas and Pandavas.

But do you think that the characters of Mahabharat are still alive? you will obviously say a no. because definately why will a 5000 year old events characters will be still alive? But one of the characters is still alive and his name is ASHWATHAMA.

Ashwathama is regarded as the most powerful warriors in Mahabharat. He is the son of Dronacharya and Kripi. Ashwathama and his father fought in the kurukshetra war supporting the kauravas and against pandavas.

He is regarded as an avatar of Lord Shiva, and is immortal ( the one who will be alive forever).

Dronacharya believed in Lord Shiva a lot and he did a severe penance to impress Lord Shiva, and so that he can have a son with same courage like shivji.

Also, he was born with a gem (mani) which makes him so powerful, this mani was on his forehead.

KRISHNA CURSED ASHWATHAMA

Ashwathama was against pandavs side, so he tried killing everyone in their family so Krishna ji cursed him saying that he will have to surrender the gem on his forehead and as he was not scared of anything and had no fear of death so so the death will not meet him and he shall be alive till the Kalyug ends also so he shall not be given any hospitality or any kind of accommodation and he shall suffer so due to this curse it is believed that he is still alive.

I will be telling few stories that shows that he is still alive

  1. In Madhya Pradesh an ayurvedic doctor claimed that he was fixing a septic on the head of one of his patients but it never stop bleeding the man was tall, dark and handsome.
  2. The villagers near Asigarh said that a man comes everyday in the morning to worship lord Shiva in the old fort
  3. It is said that he is is still alive on earth and rooms near Narmada river in India.

I really don't know if all this is true but it satisfies my doubts.
