Why do I look so bloated?
Have heavy ships really floated?
My confidence is always in a pit
My brain has lost all its wit!!
Justifying why I am this way?
Why do others always have a say?
Can I not look thin in a single snap?
Have I been often deep in a nap?
Wishes are many to look beautiful
Cause all find me a handful!!
Now am scared of the monstrous mirror
As it shows how I am an error!!
Little by little I tend to like me
But others just can't let it be!!
My love for myself lets me live
In myself and my abilities I believe
Let me love the way I am for ever!!
Not crumbling or crying or shattering, never
Today I stand at my own terms
With my smile my body confirms
What I wish to be to the world!!!!!

We all face a lot of issues because of our weight. The biggest problem being ourselves that we are not ready to accept the way we look. We tend to agree with others that we look fat despite looking fine. Our surroundings seem to affect us a lot and there are many who suffer a lot as they don't eat food at all to look slim and fit for the society. I am not saying here that we should stay overweight but rather embrace who we are, no matter how we look or how others define you. Let our dreams and hopes not be shattered cause of our looks. We usually tend to overwork and lose hope quickly. Let's take one day at a time loving ourselves amd living by being a better version of ourselves. We are strong, let's strive to stay fit at the same time strive to love who we are. Our weight shouldn't overweigh our abilities, capabilities, our true self. We are a lot more than our outlook. The world may never understand who you are if you let your weight define your worth. Let's stand together and show the world that we are confident of who we are and we will never be affected by what you say or do.
Through this poem I would like to highlight the pains people go through who tend to be fat and how they struggle everyday. I also wish to dedicate this poem and blog to all anorexic patients so that they may find new hope and live to see the world in a better light.
