Let's now talk about today's blog ….. how Diwali(Deepavali) changed as the generations and technologies changed …. Our perceptions and idea of celebration has changed immensely ..our thought process, mindset and approach has changed….. 

Diwali - the word itself is shortened like the thought!

Now I wonder how many crackers are actually bought!

Although am not really promoting bursting crackers 

It was fun and stress releasing for us who were wrecks!

The joy it brought when we fought and cried with cousins 

Made us forget whatever we had on each other, even the sins!

It really told how good fought the bad always 

Now it is just a showoff of your wealth and your ways!

Good and bad has no quotient in it how so ever we look 

The concept has been locked in some story or text book!

The feeling of being a child with innocence and kind smile 

Is now just a insensible and insensitive brand style 

If sweets, snacks and joy filled the homes earlier 

Now it's Netflix, ranks and horror movies that's dearer! 

If the entire household was filled with all relations! 

Now it's just dad, mom, children and call connections!

Even the few who burst crackers aren't worried 

How others struggle, how vehicles may get buried!

Even the noise wasn't scary before just brought smiles 

 But now can give superpower that you rush like butterflies!

As you care your life and run with all the energy you have 

This makes me tell that grannies and grandpas are brave!

Who are able to sleep despite this noise and thunder 

That new crackers bring which make you wonder 

If your building is strong enough to withstand all these!

And how long should one wait till everything might cease 

Few even consider the rain during Diwali a blessing 

As it boldly means there's no more bursting 

Wish people can celebrate without scaring others 

Learn that if all petals are not there, the flower withers 

Let celebrations bring happiness in the heart, not just face 

Let Diwali be just fun, not show and race 

About who is best, which mall should the rest be spent! 

I know this may sound like I only know to vent!

But the truth is Diwali was just a lot more than it is!
