TEAPOT &TEA POWDER:

SECONDLY, Tea should be made in small quantities in a tea pot made of China or earthenware. Because army tea made in cauldron has a taste of grease and whitewash .

THIRDLY, Tea pot should be worked beforehand by placing it on the hob . 

FOURTHLY, The tea should be strong.the author feels that six teaspoons would be enough for a pot holding a quart.

MAKING OF TEA:

FIFTHLY,The tea should be put straight into the teapot to infuse properly and added humorously “No strainers,muslin bags or other devices to imprison the tea”. 

SIXTHLY,One should take the teapot to the kettle.

SEVENTHLY, After making the tea , one should stir it or shake it well and allow the tea leaves to settle.

EIGHTHLY, The author prefers a good cylindrical cup than a flat one because it holds more tea and keeps it hot .

MILK AND SUGAR:

NINTHLY, The author advice to remove the cream from the milk as it will give sickly taste to tea.

TENTHLY, Pour tea into the cup first and then add milk to the tea by stirring.He funnily added that milk-first school would not know the amount of milk to be added.

LASTLY, Orwell concludes that tea with sugar tastes only of sugar,not tea . and he humourously compares the addition of sugar with that of adding pepper or salt.
