Imagine one day when you wake up and you have no water to drink, bath , cook food. To remind you this day is not far as the speed with which we are wasting water we are surely going to face a lot of trouble in future. 

Through this blog I want to share my experience of how one can save water in daily life, these are common mistakes I used to make earlier but with time I  have learned the importance of water and if for one day we do not get supply of water to our homes our life became a mess ,imagine places where there is paucity of water, how difficult life would be for them.

1. Avoid washing cars with pipes instead use a bucket :-  Early in the morning when I go for a walk I usually see people washing their cars with pipes for at least 15 minutes and in those 15 minutes they tend to waste a precious resource of mother earth. I also earlier preferred washing cars with pipes before but I  realised I am wasting a lot of water this way so I  switched to washing cars by filling bucket and I probably saved a lot of water with little switch in my life. I being a responsible citizen tried to make people aware of the wastage of water and tell them to start using buckets for washing their cars and was glad to see people stopping the use of pipes for washing cars.
2. Avoid washing floor with running water daily instead use mop to clean the floor :- Every one wants to make their life easy so they usually opt for things which doesn't requires a lot of efforts and with this it has resulted in misuse of water. one such example is use of running water to clean the floor daily which is a complete no no as this results in a lot of wastage of water instead mop your floor for 6 days in a week a bit tedious job but saves a lot of water and for one day you can wash with running water this way you will save water to lot of extent.
3. Fill your glass of water for how much you are thirsty :- Yes, drinking water is good for health but one should remember not to waste water. People generally have habit of drinking only a sip or half a glass of water the remaining is thrown down the drain and this practice is generally seen during  parties or functions which leads to a lot of loss of water , suppose if you drink only half a glass of water and glass is of 500ml it means you wasted 250ml of water and if you attend parties for half a year suppose 180 days than you will waste up to 45 litres and if you are habitual then your wastage would double.

These are some of my personal experiences which I myself have adopted in my life to save water and to use water judiciously so that future generations do not face any world war due to water.
