The long-awaited sequel Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan has begun production as of today, August 24. The director released new posters that featured Kamal Haasan and posted glad news to followers on his Twitter page. The posters have the text "He is back" inscribed on them. The squad will reportedly welcome Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal in the second week of September.

Udhayanidhi Stalin stated a few months back that Lyca Productions and Shankar's creative issues had been resolved. Additionally, he said that the shooting would shortly start.

CAST AND CREW OF INDIAN 2 Director Shankar's Indian 2 is a follow-up to the 1996 movie of the same name. After a crane accident claimed three lives, the movie was put on hold. The Covid-19 pandemic and artistic disputes caused the film's release to be further delayed. Lyca Productions and Udhayanidhi's Red Giant have partnered to finance the picture.

The movie's star, Kamal Haasan, is now preparing for his part. The cast includes Delhi Ganesh, Guru Somasundaram, Obby Simhaa, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Kajal Aggarwal. For many years, Haasan and Westmore got along well, and they collaborated on the films Indian, Avvai Shanmugi, and Dasavatharam.
