Since the evacuation of students from Ukraine is at its peak, most of the students successfully evacuated-came to their homes have openly bashed the Indian government. Before I speak a word, let me clear you, no matter which party I stand with or refute. Here, the integrity of my nation is at stake.

One of the major arguments given by the students was the major hurdle was to travel to neighboring countries from Ukraine rather than traveling back to India from neighboring countries. The government failed to evacuate them from Ukraine. 

But if you look at the truth, the Indian embassy in Ukraine has already noticed the students leave the country till 24th February. However, students claimed that the notice was a bit soft, it mainly aims that the decision is up to us and we never thought that the situation will be charged this much in just a few days. 

Now, who’s mistake is this? When the embassy has suggested you leave Ukraine till 24th Feb. Who was responsible? Was it a notice coming from your primary school that you had taken it so lightly? Absolutely not. 

Here was the gamble played by the Indian students in Ukraine. As the university has mentioned that they won’t allow their degree if any student lies behind 100% attendance. As a result, rather than believing the embassy, students trusted the university. 

If these students are enough smart, where was their IQ? If a world leader like America has issued an advisory to their people in Ukraine for an escape. Why don’t they feel the need to leave the nation? I mean the advisory is recommended for each human being, whether they are Indian or American. 

Additionally, students said that there was no such support from them in Ukraine from the government for evacuation. In my opinion, it is very easy to question everything but we don’t look at the scenario. It was a full-fledged war where the Russian military has blocked the air space for other nations. The Black sea was also covered with Russian ships. Moreover, militaries from Poland and Ukraine were also in between the Indian government was into evacuating their citizens, unlike the way America left their citizens in Ukraine. 

Though, we had witnessed various videos of the Indian Air Force(IAF) landing C-17 as well as Globe Master at the Ukrainian land for rescue. Multiple Indian flights from other nations as well. 

One of the most controversial jokes came from a medical student at the airport when she said the government has dropped us to Mumbai and after that, we had to arrange our fair for traveling to our cities. Seems childish when she said, she was expecting that the embassy will welcome her in the mustard field with an open hand. Her mentality shows how educated she is. Her priority was the tickets rather she returned her home safely.

Another argument coming from students was the hike in price. I don’t understand what’s the logic behind this statement. All of us know that a hike in the price of tickets is usual. Due to access demand, the price of tickets often gets fluctuated. 

It’s a matter of shame that the students were bashing the embassy and making fun of it was begging the embassy for evacuation. Students who were blaming the government for the hike in prices, later stated that they could easily bear the expenses including tickets. There is nothing to expect from these 20-25-year-old students but
