Hello everyone!!..."WOMEN AND SABARIMALA" is book which I have read recently. And I suggest you to read if ur intrested without any late.It is written by SINU JOSEPH...First of all great applause to her work she spent 9+ years on research and experiencing all by her own and she has written this book.
It is well known that "Sabariamala is temple of Lord Ayyappa " where nly young children, Men of all age groups , and women at menopause age. In short women who are in their reproductive life are not allowed.
Many devotees of Ayyappa Swamy take "maala" (or) "deeksha" for about 41 days where they perform specific pooja on an auspicious day and take maala from that day those devotees perform their daily pooja , be fasting , chanting naama's continuously and walk with barefoot and they try themselves to be peacefull and thoughts positive. These starts in the month of November and ends in January. The end of maala is done at temple of Lord Ayyappa. People visit this pilgrimage and reach the temple and their deeksha come to end. The person who completed 18 Sabarimala pilgrimage is called GURUSWAMY.
Since many years, protests...many feminist debates are going on this issue.
So the after deeksha the process of reaching the main temple involve visiting many other temples in the way and finally devotees reach the Sabarimala.
The temples in the way are built in such a way that they and their effect synchronize with the CHAKRAS of our body. These effects are different in males and females.
The great work of author Sinu Joseph is she personally visited each and every temple and experienced the body changes especially the hormonal changes...fast heart beat...cramps...headaches etc.
It is very common now a days we here many youngsters saying "Many of the things we believe and do all blind things which came from our ancestors without knowing any reasons and consequences"...but this statement is not always supported.
Now incase of Sabarimala it is scientifically proved that it has Iill effect on women.
So my opinion is that not all the things are meaningless beliefs it is all within us...what to follow and what not to...we must be able to apply common sense analyze the things situation if possible know the reason and go forward.
We may not have answers to all few things we need to just do in the flow but I hope sure someday we get answers to them or atleast we face a opposite reaction.
