Siva Karthikeyan is high on the success of his last film Doctor .He has changed gears and now come back with a campus drama called DON. The film has S.J.Suryah and Priyanka Arul Mohan in key role and has been director by Cibi chakaravathi and is doing well on the big screens.

PLOT:

            Chakaravathi (Siva Karthikeyan) belongs to a lower middle family.His dad's (Samuthrakani) dream his to make him an engineer and enrolls him in one. chakravarthy reluctantly joins the course and indulges in his own kind often. This is the time proffesssor boominadhan (SJ SURYAH) enters the screen .He is the head of the disciplinary comittee and employess crazy rules .Chakravarthy and his batch decides to teach him a lesson  and try various thing in the process who wents the teacher versus.student game in the rest of the story .

PERFORMANCE: 

             After a ling time,we get to see Sivakarthikeyan in  a very care free and entertaining role. He as the reckless student evokes good comedy and also romance and also the mimics.Tamil stars superbly in  afew scenes .But things change in the second of as the film turns into a coming pf age story and shiva's act in the last half an hour his emotional and creates a good impact . SJ SURYA gets one more meaty role and continues where he left off in simbu's manaadu .His banter with sivskarthikeyan his handle well by the director turned actor and form the highlight of the film Priyanka arul mohan his ok as the heros love intrest and does not have much to do.Samuthrakani has the strict father rushes with his lines initially but his very good in the climax.

TECHNICALITIES :

           Don is anirudh's 25th film and his music is strictly okay. None of the songs create an impact on the lsiteners .But anirudh is the king of the BGM and he elevates most of the scene.Don is directed by cibichakravarthy and his writing his okay . There is nothing much novel but the manner in the which he brings in the father and the son thread by the in looks nice .This gives the scope of dialogues cinematography by KM.Baskaran and editing by the Nagooran ramachandran are neet and serve the purpose .

ANALYSIS :

          Don is set in a engineering college and takes you an nostaligic ride .The comedy and dragging bring the college days memory and true this accept looks routime sivakarthikeyan in an encrytic role.
