What is communication?

                                             The transmission or exchange of knowledge through speech, writing, or another form of communication.

Why should we communicate?

                                            By enabling us to connect with people and share our needs and experiences, communication supports us in developing relationships in our daily lives. It gives us the ability to communicate information, express our emotions, and share our opinions. We must all communicate.

Importance of the communication

                                           The process of sharing thoughts, sentiments, and emotions among two or more people is referred to as communication. The term "communication" is derived from the Latin verb "communicare," which means "to share." In general, we understand the necessity and significance of communication. Today,communication is essential to every facet of a person's life. Where there is communication, there is life. The business world is undergoing significant changes; it is now a crucial tool in management analysis and management processes. The success of any business or profession, taking into account all of these factors, depends on effective communication. A communication-related task takes up 70% to 80% of working time. We read, write, and listen to our coworkers while conversing in monotone with our managers. As I indicated in my first blog on English language skills, the foundations of all forms of good communication are listening, speaking, reading, and writing, thus it is important for everyone interested in communication to be knowledgeable about these skills.

Features of the communication:

                                        The system of communication cannot be avoided.
                                        It involves both parties.
                                        It is a communal endeavour.

                                        It is a never-ending process.
                                        It is commonplace.
                                        It could be professional or casual 

Few tips to communicate effectively:

Pick an appropriate moment.The adage "there is a season and a place for everything" applies equally to communication.

Late at night is not the time to start talking about serious subjects. When they are at their most exhausted, people are rarely eager to deal with pressing matters like long-term planning or finances. Instead, communicate important information and hold talks on difficult subjects in the mornings or afternoons when individuals are awake, available, and more likely to be able to reply clearly.

Encourage frank, private dialogue. Choose a location that will allow for the flexibility needed for the dialogue to begin, grow, and mature. Avoid telling someone something uncomfortable to hear in front of others, around coworkers, or close to other people, such as the news of someone's passing or a breakup. By speaking with the person in private, you show respect and consideration for them. This will also give room for a wider and deeper mutual understanding and guarantee that the reciprocal system is operating well.

Eliminate all commotion.Disconnect from any electronics that might obtrude on the talk. If your phone rings, ignore it for the initially time, then instantly turn it off and carry on speaking. Don't use outside distractions as crutches to let them break your focus. They will effectively stop communication since they will divert both you and your listener.
