Meiyazhagan is a great film, although the characters are not many, the movie watchers will forget it 
Due to the property issue, Idudai Nambi (Jayaprakash) moves to Chennai with his wife and son Arulmozhi (Arvindsamy) from Neetamangalam, Thanjavur, who is not allowed to live there anymore because of the property issue. They have not been to the town for twenty years, but there is a lot of affection for the town despite their anger. In this case, Arulmozhi is forced to go to his hometown for the marriage of Siddappa's daughter Bhuvana (Swathi) who is fond of him. He goes with the thought that he has to meet his sister and return by the next bus, but he completely melts in the love of the unknown young man (Karthi) whom he meets there, who showers affection on him as Athan. The film is about who is that young man who stands higher than himself in everything and what is his relationship with Arulmozhi

Arvindsamy has expressed all the languages ​​of acting in the role of Arulmozhi. Two scenes in particular still haunt the eye. The scene where he brings gifts for his younger sister's wedding and puts the jewels on it himself, while he and Karthi are drinking on the river bank, listening to Karthi's speech and watching in amazement. In both these scenes he makes us feel sorry for him with his looks without speaking.

Although Karthi and Arvindsamy occupy the entire film, Rajkiran, Sridivya and Jayaprakash have acted so beautifully in the few scenes. Arvindswamy's ex-girlfriend calling him 'Machan' and touching his shoulder, and Arvindswamy's younger brother being distraught at the sight of him, the actors who played those characters do something to us in those few minutes.

In Needamangalam town, there are many scenes that happen in one night. Cinematographer Mahendran Jayaraju conveys every feeling in his cinematography from the scenes starting from the wedding hall to the temple in the early morning. Although Govind Vasantha's background score relates to the sentiments of relationships, Kamal Haasan's 'Yaaro Ivan Yaro' is the only song that sticks in my mind

In the flashback that Karthi says, 'Jallikattu, Tuticorin firing, Sri Lanka issue' are heavily imposed. It distracts the enjoyment of the film from the central story. Is the reason why the relationship between Karthik and Jallikattu Maduku was put in the relationship of Athan and Machan? Even though there are some difficulties, this film will make people who have left the town to think about developing closeness with their town and relations again.
