How To Kill Procrastination? 🤨 Part-1
Hie guys, how are you all doing? I'm doing great in this journey of detoxifying my laziness. I'm a profound procrastinator in the beginning as you all.
The only thought that makes me to procrastinate my work previously because I used to feel that I was super efficient when it comes to deadline to submit some work.
But fortunately I got to know that this doesn't work always and it makes me super exhausting after the work and I feel like procrastinating everything as beginning though I didn't like the feeling of fear that what if I can't submit my work in time. I also got to know that this mental shifts / mind roller coasters would damage my health as I grow old. So I determined myself to not to be a procrastinator anymore.
Today I will just share my journey of detoxifying procrastination in a better and simple way. So guys let's join hands together to enter this beautiful journey where you will fall in love with yourself with peace.
HOW TO KILL PROCRASTINATION?
- Will power is the key - determine yourself to not to give up this journey no matter what . Take a massive procrastination time for 2 days straight to only prepare your mind that these are the last 2 days in your life where you will lazy and never look back to these days. Motivate your mind to enter this journey with all positivity and hope.
- On the night of 2nd day of procrastination - just sit down and prepare a to-do list and a schedule for tomorrow. Then tell your mind that this is what I'm going to do from tomorrow morning and go to sleep early. (One hour before your actual time- most probably 10pm).
- Schedule making - what actually has to be written in your schedule is :
- Waking time - it is must to have 6-7 hours sleep for an adult and for children / adolescent has to sleep for 7-8 hours minimum. There are morning people and night people as their habit. I'm a morning person and I usually wake up at 7/7:30am, I just made myself to wake up a hour earlier than usual i.e; 6:00am
- Mark your study hours properly, so that you could complete your day to day syllabus in time.
- Make time for physical and mental exercise - if you are a non-workout person than start with 10min a day and gradually increase your duration. I started with surya namaskar aasan (2 sets /day) and few breathing exercises followed with 5 min meditation. These will help you to be active for the rest of the day.
- Working hours are not under our control, so just exclude those hours from your day and make sure you complete your work in the office itself and don't brag them to home.
- Most importantly chill time- being a lover of procrastination you can't completely avoid it from your mind. So you just make time for it, keep a timer while you are doing it. I watch YouTube most time when I was a procrastinator, thus I keep a timer of 20min and I immediately stop watching when the timer is out. Since both happens in our mobile you can't escape from the timer.
- Self care time - I was a worst self care person and used to make an excuse that I don't care what other thinks about my appearance and it's my comfort. Being a teenager, this will not affect your skin much but once you starting growing old and you will be 5 yrs much older than your actual age. This will influence your confidence over time and self caring is so blissful, once you start you can't stop. You are the one to protect your body that is been given for this living. Make it as healthy and fir it deserves to be with you.
- Revision time and next day planning time - The most important part is revising the stuff that you have learnt for the day. Once you revise you will remember it for life time. Before sleeping you need to make plan for the next day and prepare your mind to do all those stuff without fail😇.
