Real estate agent Erin is reluctant to tell her lover Leah that she loves her. And Blair, a social media manager, must quit her relationship with Will because they are no longer compatible. After finding that Sony Hall will host a Neon Classic pop-up performance, Jenny gets in touch with Erin and Blair and suggests they go on one final trip before she moves, both to mark the beginning of a new chapter in her life and to repair her broken heart.
Erin visits Jenny at her home, and they dance crazy. Meanwhile, Jenny recalls the day she was waiting to see her crush, Matt, and the same night she met Nate, where the love story began. At present, she gets a call and listens to that neon classic event ticket tapped out. The females take the day off from work to meet up. They all headed up in search of Neon Classic tickets. Jenny takes a lonely walk for a while, and she remembers this. Jenny and Nate marked the spot as theirs. In the present day, they three coincidentally meet Matt, Jenny’s college crush, in the hotel and get to know that his team is ticketing that. They don’t want to buy it from them since Jenny hates him.
The three heads purchase tickets from Craigslist, but he discards them by allowing one of his pals who arrived earlier to use them instead. They struggle all day to get concert tickets, but in the end, Matt texts That he has three wristbands for them, and Blair goes to his office to get them. They receive assistance from Matt, with whom Blair had sex, and Jenny's former college crush. Matt reminds her about the last time they hooked up on a drunken night, and none of her friends knew about it, and he shows his interest in her. Blair claims she can't separate from Jenny because she despises him, implying she still has affection for him. Leah and Erin cross paths, and it's evident that Erin still has unresolved difficulties related to her aversion to commitment. Blair discovers Will cleaning her flat by himself, she reveals to Will that she is no longer happy with Their relationship and quits it peacefully.
When the girls arrive at the performance in the evening, Jenny remembers the evening they split up because Nate believed their relationship was not going to work. Also, they have to work on their own lives for the better. At present, Jenny bumps into Nate but finds it difficult to engage in conversation with him, so she becomes separated from her companions. She realizes she needs closure at the after-party when Matt takes her there. After having a heart-to-heart when Erin acknowledges that she needs to grow up, they proceed to the after-party to find Jenny. Blair admits that she needs to lower her standards, but not before Erin runs into Leah, and the two confess their emotions for one another and decide to take their relationship slowly.
They are initially perplexed when told that Jenny departed the after-party to "finish it," referring to the relationship when they learn that she is no longer there. Erin knows that Jenny went to Washington Square Park, the location of their first encounter. Jenny is found sitting on the edge of the fountain where he had a decade ago etched their names and a smiling face inside a heart. Nate first appears to have come to apologize and ask to take Jenny back, but it turns out that this was a dream Jenny experienced just before she fell asleep. Jenny says that she has decided to move on and Blair at the same time confesses about the relationship that she has with Matt. Jenny is surprised, and she is happy about her. The three leave together when she is found by Blair and Erin, assuring that their friendship will last even after Jenny departs for San Francisco.
