Food and Punjabis have very close relations being a Panjabi myself I can say this confidently so in today’s blog I will discuss some of the food from the state

Machchili Amritsari –  As the name suggests this dish belongs to Guru’s place Amritsar  it is a dish found on every street of the city and is popular as one of the finest appetites for the locals the combination of fish, Yogurt and spices gives a mouth-watering taste  a must tried one

KADI PAKODA The next stoppage in our food journey in Kadi Pakoda if I have to describe the dish it is small balls dipped in a gravy of base (Basin) with a tadka of spices like Coriander Seeds, Ginger, Onion, and other spices and garnish with red chili a dish made in every home of the state eaten with rice or Chappati

RAJMA CHAWLA  Well the Rajma Chawal is a dish without which Punjabi food is incomplete one of the most traditional and  simple dishes eaten in  every home people also served a piece of  onion with it  apart from this people also serve crushed papad on it to give the dish a kind of crunchy bite

Makki di Roti and Sarson da Saag  The dish is the most loveable in the state, especially in the winter when you eat crunchy roti with Saag with yellow butter poured on  it gives a delicious taste alongside with it a piece of Jaggary or Gur is served that adds a sweet taste to it

Tandoori Aloo Tikka is Made in the same way as Paneer Tikka and works as a perfect Vegetarian alternate option for Chicken Tikka cooked in a special oven made of clay called Tandoor. For this, the vegetables or meat are cooked in tandoor after the marination

Pindi Chole  The next item in this food tour is Pindi Chole as the name tells the dish has come from Rawalpindi (Pakistan) it is a unique recipe that does not have any gravy or source the dish is made with dry spices like ginger, garlic, and dry mango powders

Pinni-  After having so much it’s time to have some sweet pinni made with wheat, desi ghee, Jaggary, and dry nuts ideal for both as a quick breakfast and also can be served as an evening snack, especially in the winter season a must try recipe for every foodie
