Started somewhere around 2011, the series is divided into six seasons. The central theme of the story revolves around Nich Burkhardt who is a homicide detective in Portland, is living a peaceful life with his beautiful girlfriend, Juliette.
THE PLOT
Unaware of the family history that says Nick is the descendant of the family of hunters, who for years have been killing the WESENS. Unfortunately, before Nick knows more about the same, the last of his kin, his aunt dies.
Soon enough Nick discovers that the majority of the crimes, from theft to murders, happening in Portland include wesens. Reading through the information gathered by the ancestors and written in multiple languages for decades, Nick moves ahead with the help of a few friends.
Breaking the old school rule of enmity between Wesen and Grimm, Nick befriends Monroe (a blutbaden) and Rosalee (a fuchsbau). Working together with his detective and sergeant partner (known as kehreseite in wesen world) and Captain (a Zauberbiest) Nick is ready to crack the cases.
But that's not it.
The story takes multiple twists and turns. Nick discovers someone from his family is alive but who? Nick is no longer a Grimm, what is next? Juliette is now a hexebiest, How?
Indeed a minutely though plot with precise detailing of every single character, Grimm is a really entertaining and captivating series.
