I work as same as Mr.XYZ but i didn't get recognised for my work neither did I get promoted….these are the common things said by a woman in a workplace.

Hello guys, hope everybody is doing fine. Iam going to discuss about a controversial matter today which directly related to feminism and equality of woman. Equality for woman in the workplace…though many places are trying to overcome it majority of the companies lack this concept of equality. According to a survey done recently says that number of woman participating in labour force or field has been declining which is not a progressive thing for the country.

Problems faced by woman:.                 1.Lack of registration for higher education                                                      2.Lack of provision of safe and supportive  evironment  at workplace.                                                3.Lack of support from the family members.                                                      4.Issues with maternal leave.              5.Tendency of working of woman in locality where the spouse works.  6.No equal pay (at some places).       7.Taboo that woman shouldn't work at few places.

These are the few things faced by woman to join any work. First is woman are not allowed to study more than certain level as the orthodox family believes that they must be lesser than the husband's education qualification. Whenever a woman wants to join for work anywhere the first question popped up by the interviewer is whether the woman is married or not,to decide the other factors. Maternal leaves are an issue faced by mothers and also the work environment plays a major role. Though the government declared equal pay for both men and women, few places still discriminate based on the gender.

Though the government has introduced many programs such as 1.beti bachao beti padhao(replaced by mission shakthi)-compulsory primary education for girls

2.STEM-Woman's achivement in the field of science, tech and maths.

3.One stop centres- woman's helpline against violence on woman called sakhi centres.

4.MGNREGA- equal pay for both men and women, guaranteed work for 100days in a year and also more focus on woman recruitment

Way forward: counselling the families and parents to encourage the girls for higher studies and apply for work and provide a supportive environment at home for working woman. Proper execution of all the schemes at the grassroot level of society. Not restricting woman to a perticular work and treating them equally.Taking measures for safe commute to the workplace such as provision of bus facilities, street lights at night and patrolling to ensure their safety. Thus we uplift the woman in workplace and ensure the equality at workplace.
