Dance- A Symbol Of Indian Culture-part 2

 Hello friends, welcome back to another I am going  to present some of the most popular dances of India so let’s start

Kathak (Uttar Pradesh) I am going to start my journey with one of the most popular dances form from India Kathak The word “Kathak” comes from the word Katha means story in Hindi basically it is an art of storytelling through movements performed by the dancers and it is known as the dance of love and it is performed by male and female in this dance form the dancers have to match the beat perform by Gunghroos 

Kathakali  (Kerela) The next dance form in Kathakali is from the beautiful state of Kerela. Believe to be a dance form originating from stories of Ramayana and Lord  Shiva it is a dance form based on face movements and heave costumes. The music includes the vocals which are known as  Soppanam. The storytelling includes Hindu mythology tales depicting both good and evil 

Manipuri (North East )  Its time to go North East the place where popular dance like Manipuri comes from the dance form revolves around the romantic relationship of one of the most beautiful couples in Indian culture Radha Krishna, The dance is performed in traditional Manipuri costumes and makeup to narrate this beautiful story between two gods on the there is consistent narrative chanting and beautiful music created by musical Instruments that gives a piece to mind to another level 

Kuchipudi  (Andera Pradesh) Belonging to the state of Andera Pradesh it is considered the most difficult dance. This is a form of dance that is considered a religious procedure there are a number of religious rituals such as sprinkling the holy water are some of the holy water of this dance form. It includes both singing and dancing by the performers. In ancient times it performs by male dancers in the temple but nowadays this dance is performed by female 

Oddisee (Odisha) Last but not least is here comes the Oddisee from the beautiful state of Odisha the dance includes a number of Gesture (Mudras) inspired by the idols of ancient India. This dance is used to express the story of Hindu gods like Shiva and Surya. The dance is performed in the form of a Hindi poem in the form of music given by the musicians. Performed mostly by the women the dance form includes more than 50 mudras.
