Kids- The most innocent creatures on the planet. New to world with their delicate minds. They learn whatever they see around them. The language, the clothes, the habits, the love and hatred everything they learn from their environment. In the older times we were aware how kids grew according to their ages. They learnt everything when it was the right time. And by the right time I mean they were told everything according to the development of their brain. That is why teen age is such a big deal. Because we all know bodies and hormones undergo changes at that time resulting in experiencing different emotions.
But lately kids are growing much faster than their ages. By the age of two they already know how to access a mobile phone, they know how to play their cartoons, or their favorite songs on you tube. They know how to face time their relatives. And the thing that surprises me the most is they know how to answer back quickly. With the correct facts and with the apt tone they know how to shut your mouth. And by the age they reach their teens either they already are in a relationship or they are ready to be in one. Because in today's times if you are good in studies then you will be called a nerd, and nobody wants to be a nerd until and unless they are very confident about themselves. Everybody wants to be cool and the definition of cool is very different from what this generation understands. Kids think having a girlfriend or a boyfriend is cool, cussing is cool, bunking classes is cool and what not.
Nowadays parents themselves are making their kids' Instagram accounts. And even if they not then you may find kids owning their own social media account. Little girls know how to apply makeup. When I was a kid all I copied from my mother's beauty regime was how to put a bindi on my forehead. The thing to worry about is with kids growing up at this superfast pace they actually have associated their happiness with likes and followers on their social media pages. Their ethics and morals are just desolate. They don't understand love. They want to be famous. When we were kids then on being asked that what do we want to become when we grow up? Half of us answered as doctors, engineers, bankers, teachers. But if you ask a kid today what do they want to be. They either want to be a you tuber or an Instagram influencer which is not wrong though but the want of getting name, fame and money instantly is actually causing depression. And this scares me. Kids have to stay kids for a while. We don't want adults in small bodies.
