In Terror, Payal Cried Out, "Mom." "Owlie Has Left!" - Part I

Hello Everyone!!!

"Payal, where would she have gone?"
Crossly, her mother said. "A short while ago, she was right there, sleeping in her cage."
But suddenly she's not there. Additionally, Mom, the garden door is open! Payal's mother ran into the room at that point. Indeed, Owlie was nowhere to be seen.

You might wonder, what was an owl doing in a house? Well, a variety of animals, mostly strays, called Payal's place home. Payal's mother received visits from people with injured animals, missing dogs, and baby birds that had escaped their cages. It wasn't like they lived in a big house or even had a big farm. All people were aware of Payal's mother's enormous heart! Even in a home accustomed to unannounced guests, Owlie's adventure had been remarkable. One day, Shefali Didi showed up with a box in tow.

The tiniest owlets, a little ball of brown and grey, were nestled in one corner when Payal's mother opened the container. Payal's mother spoke to her in the same kind way that she did with the dogs as she carefully took her up and put her on her lap. She was cautious not to get pecked because she had never handled owls before. After the owl became accustomed to her and appeared sufficiently at ease, Payal's mother enclosed her in a cage. Payal's home was always equipped with empty cages in case a bird happened to visit! The young owl perched on the rod to get comfortable.

"What should we call her, Mom?" exuberant Payal enquired."You select a name," her mother grinned and added."What about Owlie?" Payal inquired. Owlie, then, was it. Although the name dispute was resolved, there remained one issue. What is fed to an owl?

Hunters are owls. They consume frogs, snakes, and rats. Everyone in Payal's home, even the dogs, ate vegetarianism! Payal's mom had strong feelings against meat. But she had to overcome her aversion to meat now that Owlie had moved in. That was just one more factor that made that day special. It was the first time meat had ever been delivered to the home! After receiving the number from her acquaintance, Payal gave the butcher shop a call to request that they bring half a kilogram of chopped beef to the home. The meat was placed ahead of Owlie.

Naturally, Owlie was at a loss for what to do with it. After all, she was still a newborn. Had the mother owl been present, she would have pushed the meat down Ollie's throat after softening it. Mother Owl, as Payal's mother called her, was her destiny! Using her right hand, she took a little piece of beef and mashed it till it became soft. She then forced Owlie's beak open with her left hand and pushed the food inside. Owlie quickly tumbled from her perch and onto the cage's floor. Her feet were raised and she reclined on the cage's floor.
