“THE QUEEN OF HILLS” is one of the best places in India to visit during the Summer months .Famous for its scenic beauty ,it is a perfect place for the hill lovers to spend their  summer vacations.

The place “SHIMLA” was named after Shyamala Mata ,a fearless incarnation of the goddess Kali.The temple of the goddess is situtated on the Bantony Hill, near The Ridge ,named Kali Bari temple.

HOW TO REACH SHIMLA !

I)By train

You first have to reach KALKA and from there you can go to SHIMLA ,  a road joruney of 84.9km which approximately takes 2 hr 38minutes.

II)By plane 

You can reach Delhi by plane and from there you can go to SHIMLA by car,a road distance of about 343.6km which approximately takes 7 hr 28 mins via NH 44 and NH5.

1.KULLU-MANALI

Sangla Valley or the Baspa Valley starts at Karcham and ends at Chitkul.The local people of Sangla have their own distinct culture and their own dialect,the Kinaauri language.Sangla is the locus of exploration and trekking trails.There are many placesyou can visit when you stay in Sangla such as Bering Nag Temple, Chitkul Mata Temple, Basteri etc etc.The peoples of Sangla have their own festivals such as Saazo in January, Faagul/Holi in March ,Dakhrain in July and Ukhyang in September.

Nako is a village in the Himalayas of northern India , located near the Indo-China border in the Trans-Himalayan region of Kinaar district  in Himachal Pradesh .Nako lake is a prominent feature here where it borders the village. Nako Monastery, dated to 1025, is located in the village as well as several other Buddhist chortens .

Tabo is a small town in the Lahaul and Spiti district on the banks of the Spiti River in Himachal Pradesh ,India. The town lies on the road between Rekong and Kaza.

The town of Kaza is the subvisional headquaters of the remote Spiti Valley in the western Himalayas in the Lahaul and the Spiti district of the northern Indian State of the Himachal Pradesh. Spiti is a high altitude or cold desert having closest similarities to the Tibet and Ladakh region in  terms of terrian, climate and Buddhist culture . Kaza is situated along the Spiti valley at an elevation of 11,980 ft.

5.KAILASH KINNAUR

KINNAUR 

Kinnaur is one of the twelve administrative districts of the states of Himachal Pradesh in the northern India.The district is divided into three administrative areas -Pooh , Kalpa and Nichar ,and  has six tehsils. Most people visit Kinnaur for witnessing the monolithic pillar (Shivling) located at an altitude of around 4800 metres .

BHIMAKALI TEMPLE

Sarahan is a town in Himachal Pradesh of India .It is the site of Bhimakali temple, dedicated to the mother goddess Bhimakali ,presiding deity  of the rulers of former Bushashr State.The town is known as "the gateway of Kinnaur".
