Fear of danger is understandable. Thinking, intelligent people fear danger, injury and evil. They naturally protect themselves and others - if they can - from gun-toting attackers, financial insecurity, loneliness, corruption, threats, sickness and death. It is the level of fear and anxiety associated with it that can be frustrating and cause natural emotions to crumble to pieces, limiting the ability to follow hunting, to try new places, to risk, to enjoy life and productivity. There are times when you need to take risks and there are times when you risk taking them inappropriately.

If the water is full of sharks, do not swim, but if you are full of ideas to check, go down. Danger means going where others do not have, or staying behind to pay more attention when others seem to be moving forward. Risk means looking at the unknown as well as the unknown, and exploring the unknown until known. Accident can be a stimulant; panic, cruncher. There are times when you have to stretch your neck to defend what you believe firmly, or to explore unfamiliar workplaces. As Hungarian-born English author Arthur Koestler put it: "If the creator intended to equip us with a neck, he certainly meant that we should pull it out."

However, doing so requires courage. You may fail and that is dangerous. Another great fear people have is failure. This fear is often related to the critical words in their head - their hurtful words of judgment or the words of others who always find reason to criticize them often - in whatever they do. When faced with the prospect of failure, it is good to think about the worst, such as murder. Will you really be killed for your mistakes? The more mistakes people make in their lifetime, the more they try and learn more. Creators make more mistakes than others because they try many things. As Albert Einstein put it, "A man who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new."

Mistake is just a temptation to learn from. However, when you make the same mistakes over and over again, it may be an indication that you need to pause this task for a while and try something new. You should naturally know when to move and when to stop, when what you are doing has become a form of exercise in vain. Making mistakes can slow you down, but it won't stop you from achieving your goal. Not learning from mistakes will do. And not putting yourself at risk may seem safe to you, but it will also save you.
