Hi friends, have you ever heard of eating the cinders of the dead ones, or have you ever heard about the penis festival?
Weird!
In this blog, you are gonna read about some of these weird facts. Here we go!
weddings! weddings are so much fun. In India, we have several amazing rituals like Haldi, Mehndi, etc. But in Scotland, it doesn't seem to be fun. The people in Scotland follow a very weird pre-wedding ritual, in which people literally throw things on the bride like eggs, spoiled milk, and fishes, etc. The people in Scotland believe that the girl has to live a tough life after marriage and by following this ritual they prepare her for her upcoming life.
This tradition of Indonesia has crossed all the limits. Usually when someone dies people cry on behalf of their death, especially women get emotionally hurt but for a tribal community of Indonesia, this isn't enough. In Indonesia, people of a tribal community follow a tradition in which women have to cut their fingers every time someone dies in their family, those people believe that this provides peace to the dead ones.
*Thankfully, this tradition is followed rarely nowadays.
Finally here comes the most awaited tradition of the list, “The Penis Festival". This festival is celebrated in Japan, in this festival, people do rallies on the road with a huge sculpture of a penis. This tradition, known as “Kanamara Matsuri” has a very interesting story, this story states that a long time back a lady had a demon hidden inside her vagina, and he loved her soo much. On the first night after her marriage, he ate her man's penis and her man died, he did the same to her second husband. Then the lady visited Blacksmith and asked for help, then the Blacksmith broke the demon's teeth with a sharp tool molded like an erected penis and since then this festival is being celebrated.
I know this is a silly question but, would you like to eat the ashes of the dead ones! I'm sure your answer would be no, but some people do. This tradition called “Endocannibalism” is practiced in Brazil by a tribal community known as “the Yanomami tribes” who are spread over 200-250 villages in the “Amazon rainforest”. They eat the ashes and crushed bones of their dead ones mixed in a soup because they believe that, by practicing this ritual the souls of the dead ones live in them.
So, that's it for this article.
