Hi there! hope you are doing well during these tough times. Nowadays as many of you are getting depression cases so today i am here to tell you how to get out of your depression and stay happy by releasing your happiness chemicals in good quantity. Yes! You read right, happiness chemicals. Do you know our body releases happiness chemicals? If you don't then must go read my this blog to know about some happiness chemicals that are released in your body while performing different activities. So here we go…….. 

DOPAMINE: It is also known as β€˜feel good’ hormone. It is strongly associated with pleasure and reward. It is the reward chemical. It's ideal for learning, planning and productivity.

It raises by performing following activities-

  • Eating food
  • Achieving a goal
  • Complete a task
  • Self-care activities

OXYTOCIN: It is also known as love hormone. It is a hormone that acts on organs in the body and as a chemical messenger in the brain, controlling key aspects of the reproductive system and aspects of human behaviour. It has the power to regulate our emotional responses and pro-social behaviours, including trust, empathy, gazing, positive memories, processing of bonding cues and positive communication.

It increases due to following activities-

  • Socializing
  • Physical touch
  • Petting animals
  • Helping others

ENDORPHIN: It is a hormone of pain killer as it diminish the perception of pain. It reduces stress, boost self-esteem and improves sleep. It strengthens your heart, increases energy levels, lowers blood pressure, reduce body fat, improves muscle tone and strength and makes you look fit and healthy.

It is found during these tasks-

  • Excercising
  • Listening to music
  • Watch a movie
  • Laughter

SEROTONIN: This hormone is also known as mood stabilizer. It helps with sleeping, eating and digestion. If your brain has too little serotonin, it may lead to depression and too much of serotonin can lead to excessive nerve cell activity. It is produced when you become nauseated. It is released to help heal wounds.

It can be hacked by performing the following tasks-

  • Sun exposureMindfulness
  • Be with natureMeditation
