Jurassic World Dominion is one of the movies I really don't know what to think about. Some of them really liked it, and others were very critical and disappointed with it. That's what I may need to look at again to really solidify my opinion. Anyway I enjoyed this movie. I want to make it clear that it's not as bad as some people say. It's not perfect, but it's still a lot of fun! But this is arguably the weakest of the Jurassic World trilogy, but I'm the one who loved Jurassic World and, most of the time, really liked the fallen kingdom. I have to say that I liked it more than the sequel to the original Jurassic Park, and even if it changed radically, I thought it was a great finale of the series.
I think my biggest problem here was the difference between what I expected and expected by the end of the fallen kingdom, but I can't blame the movie for that. I feel like there were more interesting stories I could tell here, but what we got was ok. As dinosaurs are out in the world, you will want to see more of this world. It leaves many potential stories to tell! But this story was told very poorly. It was written very poorly and was unconvincing or interesting for many of the films. I usually get into the movie pretty easily, but it took me 45 minutes to get into it. The script sometimes felt like fanfiction and didn't really convince me of what was happening. The script had no emotions, the audience had no emotional connection with the character (even the old one), and it felt like there were times when they didn't care what was happening. Clone problem locusts biosin .It's all there and the movie is a jumble of overloaded characters and storylines.
But the most vicious crime is the fact that this movie normalizes the existence of dinosaurs in the world. This eliminates the awe and wonder of seeing dinosaurs with the characters, a feeling that has existed in all previous "Jurassic" movies. Not only that, we lose the horrifying elements that make these movies so great. There is no suspense or tension. It's just a straightforward act. Not all dinosaur scenes are as intimidating as they should be .The finale has a moment that is a classic example. I didn't like the locust plot either it was too far from the dinosaurs. Like this is a dinosaur movie, isn't it? In Ian Malcolm's (paraphrased) words, are there any plans to include dinosaurs in dinosaur movies? The script is also unbalanced, the character has no compelling drama or story, no dinosaurs it just feels hollow. Where are all the big ideas about genetic experiments and natural results? I also found that the movie was both too long and not long enough. There are too many characters and half is unnecessary, it just takes screen time. And one more thing why wasn't it a movie prologue? !! They released this amazing 5-minute sequence as a promotion last year and said it was a movie prologue, but instead the movie started with a synopsis like "The Last Time of the Jurassic World " increase. Having a prologue can solve many of the problems I have with movies. It reflects the ending in an interesting way, leading to some conflicts and interesting scenes that have been mentioned several times throughout the film. Moreover, it's a much more interesting way to start a movie.
OK one more bad here, Directed by Colin Trevorrow. He really did a terrible job here. It was so dull and lacking in style that he lost the charm of Spielberg that he might have had when he made his first Jurassic World. JA Bayona at least brought a great Gothic horror style to Fallen Kingdom, which made me feel really terrible and we end up with this boring and common one. Nothing stands out, it's just a general blockbuster movie production. Sure, there are some interesting visuals and final montages that I love, but I'm sure they will get better in the other direction.
Now you may be wondering: After all the reviews, how did you still enjoy it? It wasn't what I wanted, it was a very flawed movie, but at least it was fun! I was entertained and loved that there were some cool dinosaur stuff, some fun action set pieces, and the production team promised the dinosaurs to use more animatronics. It just made them feel more authentic! I also loved the return of the original cast and was very happy to see them actually play an important role in the storyline. Also, the new cast from the current movie wasn't half as bad. I also love how the human villain is technically from the first movie, and there were some great nods in the original Jurassic Park! Speaking of villains ... Biosyn is literally a bad apple and Dodgson is literally a bad Tim Cook ... Up to the optical system! I liked this sneaky critique of modern capitalist culture and the behavior of many companies (especially in the tech sector). There were some really cool visual sequences and the sound of this movie was great! I also like Michael Giacchino's score! He did a lot because of the emotions of the movie and did his best to resonate with the music that couldn't be written. And by God it worked! This score really enhanced so many moments for me using themes from anywhere!
