Yummy Delicious Fried Rice – Easy Preparation
Fried rice is a quick, versatile, and flavorful dish that you can easily prepare at home with simple ingredients. Here's how to make it in just a few steps.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked rice (preferably cold or leftover rice)
- 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable, sesame, or olive oil)
- 2 eggs (optional)
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers, or any you prefer)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce or ketchup (optional, for extra flavor)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Spring onions or cilantro for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Ingredients
- Ensure the rice is cool and not sticky to achieve the perfect texture.
- Chop all vegetables into small pieces for even cooking.
Step 2: Scramble the Eggs (Optional)
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan or wok.
- Beat the eggs and pour them into the pan. Stir until scrambled. Remove the eggs and set aside.
Step 3: Cook Vegetables
- In the same pan, heat the remaining oil. Add minced garlic and chopped onions, sautéing until fragrant.
- Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
Step 4: Add Rice and Sauces
- Add the cooked rice to the pan and mix well with the vegetables.
- Pour soy sauce and chili sauce (or ketchup) over the rice. Toss everything together to evenly coat the rice with the sauces.
Step 5: Combine and Season
- If using scrambled eggs, mix them back into the rice.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 6: Garnish and Serve
- Garnish with chopped spring onions or cilantro for a fresh finish.
