The word biryani is an emotion for all of us. Iam here to share u the recipe of delicious chennai style biryani.
Ingredients :
Onion - 200 grams (3 medium size)
Cinnamon - 3
Cloves - 4
Cardamon - 3
Oil - 100 ml
Coriander - ¼ tspoon
Ginger - 50 grams (paste)
Garlic - 25 grams (paste)
Kashmir chilli powder - 1 table spoon
Mint - 1/4
Green chilli - 3 ( according to your taste)
Curd - 100 ml
Tomato - 200 gram ( 3 medium size
Salt - according to your taste
Water - 700 ml
Chicken - ½ kg
Rice - ½ kg (basmathi rice or jeera rice)
Process :
Step 1 : Add oil.
Step 2 : Add onion, cinnamon, cloves, cardamon after the oil gets heat.
Step 3 : Fry onion untill it becomes golden brown.
Step 4 : Add coriander and ginger garlic paste and stir it well for 2 seconds in medium flame.
Step 5 : Add chilli powder and mint and stir it well for 2 seconds in medium flame.
Step 6 : Add green chilli and curd and stir it well for 2 seconds in medium flame.
Step 7 : Add tomato and salt and stir it well for 2 minutes in high flame.
Step 8 : Add water and keep the flame in high for 2 minutes untill it boils, after it starts boiling change the flame to low aand leave for 10 minutes.
Step 9 : Add the chicken, and stir it for 1 minute and cook for 5 minutes in low flame. Check the taste add salt if it is required.
Step 10 : Parallely take 1 ½ iters of water and boil it, add 1 table spoon of salt on it.
Step 11 : Put the rice in the boiling water and stir it continuously for 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 12 : Filter the rice once it is half cooked.
Step 13 : Add the rice to the masala.
Step 14 : Add the rice filtered water if required till above rice level.
Step 15 : cook in medium flame for 2 mins and change to low flame and cook for 10 mins.
Step 16 : Once the rice is cooked well, u can serve the food.

Briyani has much calories in it, it will be a good source of calorie food if you have it in limit. And chicken has protein, so biryani is a pack of much calories and protein in it.
