Virat kohli's struggle and rise from a humble background to cricket super star has not been less than an inspiration to me and maybe you and many other's. We might have heard many of his milestones in many articles on television or somewhere else. But did you know that like everyone else he had a hard time when he was young.
I know hard time don't tell before coming it can come knocking on doors anytime and at any age but what matters is that how you face the situations and how you handle the pain and take right decesion on right time.
In pain or in happiness Virat has never let his cricket suffer the first sighns came as early as a teenager when Virat was just 18 year's old when his father Prem left him. He died on December 19,2006. Virat was playing for Delhi team and was batting on 40 overnight. Before he heard about his fathers death. On next day he had to continue his match and much to the surprise of his teammates Virat returned next day and scored 90 to save Delhi from follow on.
There cannot be a bigger example of how he learnt to handle responsibility from such a small age.
Almost a decade after his father's death he told that why his father's death didn't stop him from playing cricket he said "I still remember the night my father's passed away was the hardest time in my life. But the call to play the morning after my father's death came instinctively to me.
"I called my (Delhi) coach in the morning. I said I wanted to play because for me not completing a cricket game is a sin.
There are many things that I have learnt from him but the main thing is that the way he take decesion in tough times and his dedication towards his work his game and his country.
