The movie named "Hey Sinamika" starred Dulquer Salman, Aditi Rao, Kajal, Yogi Babu and others. Directed by dance master Brinda. It is available in Netflix now.
Plot:
A girl(Aditi) who married a (Dulquer)boy he loved. After marriage, she learnt that he is very talkative and too great at cooking. When she couldn't tolerate him, she ask a psychiatrist(Kajal)'s help to make him fall for her. Then she gets a reason to divorce him. But things have changed after Kajal and Dulquer becoming close.
The movie starts with their first meet, which feels un necessary which proved its importance in climax.
Dulquer:
nailed his performance in this movie. Especially the cross dressing scene, he really nailed the performance while getting angry. In that talking about the sexual preference thought is planted there. It may seems like bit New to the Tamil audience. But it is better to talk & discuss about it. And his positive talk about the criticizers also acceptable. It also motivates me to criticize this one too(all of it are in the last topic called drops).
Aditi Rao:
Just like Dulquer, Aditi also made her 100% in this movie. We even see her eyes are giving more dialogue than her. But sometimes it feels that the role was too low for her skill. Her performance in the climax, is the exact moment where we can see her as whole.
Even though Dulquer & Aditi have very less chemistry achieved in whole movie, They cover it up with their wonderful acting.
And most importantly,
Kajal:
who had very less screen space almost in all movies, luckily have enough space in here. In that part, two scenes are there for to prove her acting skill. I always feel that she has poor acting skills. But she kind of good in her given role.
Drops:
The Chemistry between Dulquer & Aditi were poorly shown in the screen. Which makes people to less care about their divorce. these adorable couple ( for me), did show good romance. But not even a bit of OK Kanmani. OK Kanmani movie majorly worked out by their chemistry which is lag in this movie comparatively.
The economical background is also looks strange. All the people & the locations are pure elite which made me feel like a foreign place. Yet they say it is Chennai and Pondicherry. Heroine is a Wind kind of engineer or something. but her flat are looks very rich. Her background and his are not at all mentioned in the movie.
The comedy scenes are not at all hilarious. Aditi co-workers gave a over acting performance. Yogi Babu is an extra attachment to the movie. His part never change any story plot and also a speed breaker of the flow.
Hey Sinamika! : 5/10
If you love the Dulquer and Aditi, you will get a decent satisfaction in the movie. Otherwise a disaster movie.
