This movie starred main as Rajinikanth - a kollywood super star movie. This movie also contains multiple stars such as Nayanthara, Keerthy suresh, meena, kuspu and so many others. This movie directed by Siva known as Siruthai Siva. Music by  D.Imman.

Introducing Rajni is mass and energetic by showing the whole calcutta is talking about "WHO IS ANNATTHE", and it simply faded away because of the flashback. Then the intro song which people enjoyed much.  

for Thalaivar:

The comedies are very childish. But I laughed for Thalaivar. then the intro of keerthy suresh, the sister of annaatthe. Her character is actually not accpted. Her diet made her so slim which makes her looks like his daugher. That is also accpted for thalaiver.

Movie:

 it is the actual indian movie routine, hero will be the only genius there. Nayanthara, who always used as a guest role in a big actor's movie. She got some space in this movie. But her character is same as any junior artist range only. 

Demerits:

     Meena and Kushpu romance with rajini was little fun but little awkward. It is same with their brothers romance with keerthy suresh. No scope for comedies. the highest comedy in the movie gives the little bit of smile only(laughing for thalaivar wont come in this category.)

     Keerthi Suresh innocence are very over dramatic and make us angry. 

      Director Siva, who have done some good and worst movies. The only backdrop for director is sentiment. Past sentiment scenes from movies of Siva are the only thing drop the movie from great to average, even to the worst. 

Veeram: great mass scenes for Ajith. But the 2nd half family sentiments makes it very old mentality and make the film average.

Vivegam: the film got a huge flop because of the over acting and the emotions are overrated. 

Benifits : 

     Ofcourse, Rajinikanth, his presence which filled the whole theatre.  In his age, he gives the best he could. And he literally saved from being castist.

 D. Imman, his music really tried to hold the fans  from the bad mood. 

  SPB Sir, who is a voice for superstar almost all films, has done his last song to him. 

The Royal Enfield bike chase was  a relief. that scene looks ok when the other scenes are wasted.

dumped good scenes:

     As Keerthi Suresh won a biggest award for acting, her acting and the presence are made the film bad. The climax scene, the whole fight scenes are spoiled by his sister presence and the switching between the sentiment and action not only imman struggles. But actually fans also.
