Hi boss, I just watched the Indian 2 movie, one month after release. Watched it with my family. Here are my thoughts and opinions about it.

So basically the movie started very well compared to all the Tamil sequals. Though corruption is not a new concept in Tamil films, the first few scenes were good. I actually was getting furious against the reviewers who have reviewed "Indian 2" as a bad movie. I was at the verge of crying because I thought it was a very well done movie that didn't impress the mass commercial audience. 
I loved the "barking dogs" because they weren't directly affected by corruption, they were youngsters with privileged life. But still they are against injustice for others. It was too realistic because any person with zero tolerance for injustice could have a social media and post about it. Chitra Aravind (Siddharth) realizes that there is need for a super force like Senapathy (Indian).  The title card is displayed at this point and it was actually good because it created a moment for us to scream and cheer. 

Then he (Chitra) posts a hashtag "Come Back Indian".

For showing that the hashtag was trending, they had shot clips of different cities, that monotage was screaming nothing but "HIGH budget Shankar film".The movie screams that in a lot of other scenes too. 

So, then they got an update that Indian thatha is still alive. Chitra wonders “what will thatha be doing right now”. I don't know why but the script writers decided to insert a song right here, before even showing us what thatha is doing. So, here comes a song that objectifies women for 3 minutes. The movie went downhill from there.

I was waiting for the movie to get better, but it didn't happen, only got worse. So, I think that the scenes of the barking dogs was good. The rest of the movie aka Indian thatha punishing with varma kalai, Indian thatha running from the police for like 20 minutes was not good. 

I kept realising that it was a Shankar film every scene. They just like kept throwing it on our face. The fight with the gym guys reminded "I" movie scene where the virus is injected. Thatha riding the electric skate reminded "Enthiran" where chitti is chasing the train.
The style of killing villains was the same as in the first part, and it should have improved because Senapathy is getting old, he should use his brain to attack and not the body. Imagine Mr.Sivam from Anbe Sivam fighting villains and running faster than them, that's how unrealistic this is. The movie had a lot of wasted potential. The teaser of Indian 3 is good but I'm afraid it might be like this one.

So that's the review, watch the movie once, for the sake of "barking dogs". Thatha vararu song was good. It did remind me of “Break the rules” from boys T-T. I came to watch Indian 2, not a composition of all Shankar films, expected something different from what he has done. 

The songs weren't as good as in Indian 1. In fact, there weren't enough songs for this to be a Shankar film. The only moment were you feel something is when they reuse the tune of Kappal yeri poyachi as a bgm. The movie had some good scenes and opinions, but overall it was neither entertaining nor live-changing.
