Child abuse is the physical, sexual, emotional, and/or psychological mistreatment or neglect of a child, especially by a parent or other caregiver. It is also referred to as child endangerment or child maltreatment.
Any action or inaction on the part of a parent or caregiver that causes real or prospective harm to a kid is considered child abuse. This can happen in the child's home as well as in settings like businesses, schools, or communities where the child is exposed to others.

FORMS OF ABUSE:
1.physical abuse
2.sexual abuse
3.phychological abuse
PHYSICAL ABUSE:
Intentional physical abuse of a child with the intent to do harm to their health, survival, development, or dignity, or with a high probability of doing so. This include strikes, blows, kicks, trembling, biting, strangling, scorching, burning, poisoning, and choking. The goal of much of the physical abuse that occurs in homes against children is punishment.
SEXUAL ABUSE:
Child sexual abuse (CSA) is a form of child abuse in which an adult or older adolescent abuses a child for sexual stimulation.Sexual abuse refers to the participation of a child in a sexual act aimed toward the physical gratification or the financial profit of the person committing the act.
Forms of CSA include asking or pressuring a child to engage in sexual activities (regardless of the outcome), indecent exposure of the genitals to a child, displaying pornography to a child, actual sexual contact with a child, physical contact with the child's genitals, viewing of the child's genitalia without physical contact, or using a child to produce child pornography.
PHYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE:
Adult victims of psychological abuse frequently find it more difficult to recover and to resume their previous lifestyles because of ingrained behaviors. A child's psychological development can be severely impacted by maltreatment, which increases the likelihood of negative thoughts. Many people need assistance in raising awareness of preventative measures among others around them in order to reduce these undesirable results.
NEGLECT[ CHILD NEGLECT]:
When a parent or other caregiver fails to provide a kid with the necessary food, clothes, housing, medical attention, or supervision to the extent that the child's safety, health, or well-being may be jeopardized, this is known as child neglect. In addition to a lack of attention from those in the child's immediate vicinity, neglect also refers to the failure to provide the necessary resources namely, love, attention, and nurturing for the child to survive.
A child who is routinely missing from school, begs or steals food or money, is unclean, doesn't have access to necessary medical or dental treatment, or doesn't have weather-appropriate clothing are some obvious indicators of child neglect.
