    We all know basic provisions of our constitution. But do you know some provisions are adopted from the constitutions of other countries as well ? What exact are they? Lets go for it.

       The Indian Constitution is know for its unique content and spirit. Our Constitution maker made sure that every best thing should be included in our constitution.These are sources of our modern Indian Constitution.

1.Government of India Act, 1935 - :

            This Act has huge impact on our constitution. Major chunk of the constitutions is derived from the Government of India Act, 1935. Provisions related to Public Service Commissions, Federal Governance, Office of Governor, Judiciary system , emergency provisions and administrative system comes from this Act.

2.British Constitution-:

             The country against which we fought for freedom. How it is possible to ignore British Constitution? Our Paramilitary Government System, Rule of law, Single citizenship concept, cabinet or ministry council, writs and bicameral system comes from British Constitution.

3.Irish Constitution -:

            A constitution of neighbor country of Britain provided us Directive Principle of State Policy , nominations of members in Rajyasabha and method of election of President of India derived from Irish Constitution. 

4. US Constitution -:

            Our Fundamental rights, Independence of Judiciary from executives, provisions regarding impeachment of President ,Supreme and high court judges and Position of Vice President comes of US Constitution.

5. Canadian Constitution -:

              Federation with strong central government, Vesting residuary powers in the central government, appointment of Governor from central government and advisory jurisdiction of Supreme Court of India comes from Canadian Constitution. This Constitution indeed gave us provisions for strong central government.

6.Australian Constitution -:

         A continent far away from our nation provided us Concurrent List, previsions regarding freedom of trading and important provision of joint sitting of both houses of Parliament.

7. Weimar Constitution of Germany -:

             Country which initiated second world war provided us provisions of suspension of Fundamental Rights during Emergency condition of country.

8. Soviet Constitution (USSR) -:

             This communist constitution provided us concept of fundamental duties and idea justice regarding social, economical and political in the Preamble.

9.South Africa Constitution- :

              South Africa was important place during freedom fight. Many Indian residence from Africa took active part in our struggle. Procedure of amendment of the constitution and election of members of Rajyasabha comes form South Africa Constitution.

10. French Constitution -:

               Founder country of  idea of Democracy provided us concept of republic government and ideals of liberty, equity and fraternity in the preamble.

11. Japanese Constitution- :

               Only democratic country in Asia before India gave us different procedures established by law.
