Greetings!!!

Read the first part of this story for the continuation…..

Standing atop a slight elevation on the plateau, her pale chest protruded. She periodically ripped at a chunk of fish that was lying at her feet before scraping the rock with each side of her beak.
He became enraged at the sight of the meal. How he enjoyed tearing food in that manner and occasionally whetting it with his beak! He gave a soft chuckle. His mother gave him a look while cackling as well.

He shouted out, "Ga, ga, ga," pleading with her to get him some food. "Gawl-ool-ah," she mockingly yelled in response. However, he persisted in his meek calls, and after about a minute, he let out a happy scream. His mother was flying up to him with a chunk of fish that she had picked up. As she sailed across, he enthusiastically leaned out and tapped the rock with his foot in an attempt to be closer to her. However, as she approached the edge of the ledge directly across from him, she stopped, her wings still and her legs dangling limp, the fish fragment in her mouth nearly touching his.

He was taken aback for a while, wondering why she had not approached him more closely. Then, driven by hunger, he dove towards the fish. He let out a loud cry as he fell out of the sky and into space. His mom had taken a sharp turn upward. He heard her wings swish as he moved beneath her.

Then he was overcome with a horrible horror that made his heart stop. He heard nothing audible. It did not last long, though. He felt his wings extend wide the following instant. The wind whipped across his wings, under his tummy, and across his breast feathers. The tips of his wings were cutting through the air, and he could feel them.

This time he was not going down hard. Slowly but surely, he was rising upward and forth. He had lost his fear. It was simply a slight vertigo. He then gave a single flap of his wings and took off upward.

With a happy yell, he slapped them once again. He took off faster. He banked against the wind, raising his breast. "Ga, ga, ga." Ga, ga, ga. "Gawlool-ah." With a tremendous roar made by her wings, his mother soared past him. With another scream, he responded to her. Then his dad screamed as he sailed over him. Then he saw his sister and two brothers diving and soaring all around him.

Then, he started to plunge and soar while screaming shrilly, totally forgetting that he had not always been able to fly.

He was now flying straight over the ocean, close to the coast.
He laughed and tilted his beak sideways when he spotted a large green sea with small ridges moving across it.
In front of him, on this green floor, were his parents, brothers, and sister. They were calling loudly and beckoning to him. He stood on the green sea, lowering his legs. He slipped his legs into it. He gave a terrified cry and tried to get back up by flapping his wings. However, the unusual activity had left him weak and fatigued, and he was unable to get up.
His belly touched the green sea after his feet had submerged there, causing him to stop submerging.

Moral:

He seemed to float upon it. His family was yelling and applauding him all around him, and they were offering him dogfish scraps with their beaks.
