Hello friends we all are eagerly and excitedly waiting to welcome the new year . let's enjoy buying calendars in different designs for new year Calendars are one of the most important of our applications let's know the birth story of calendar how such calendars came into being!

The English word "calendar" is derived from the Latin word "calande" which means to add up an account. Major changes in geography and time conditions formed the basis of early calendars. This is evidenced by the calendar created by the ancient Egyptians based on the annual flooding of the Nile River. The basis of the calendar we have today is B.C. The Julian Calendar was created by Julius Caesar in 45 AD.

The most widely used calendar in the world today is the Gregorian calendar. According to Pope Gregory XIII, a physician named Aloysius Llius created the Gregorian calendar on February 24, 1582, correcting the flaws found in the Zelian calendar. The years of this calendar are organized around the date of birth of Jesus Christ.

Spain, Portugal, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and most of Italy were the first to adopt the Gregorian calendar. They started using the Gregorian calendar from October 1582. England and America adopted the Gregorian calendar in 1752. Greece was the last country on this list to adopt the Gregorian calendar on February 15, 1923.

History of Names of Months:

January: January, the first month of the Gregorian calendar, is named after the god Januslanuarius, seen in Roman mythology as the "god of beginnings."

February: The second month of the Julian and Gregorian calendar, February is derived from the Latin word februm, meaning "cleansing". This February was celebrated by the ancient Romans on the 15th of February to perform a cleansing ritual called Febra.

March: March is derived from “Marsi”, the Roman god of war. March was the first month of the Roman calendar until January was united by King Numabum Vilus who ruled Rome in the 700s BC.

April: There are various theories about the origin of the name April. One theory is that the month of April got its name from the Latin word 'Aperire' which means 'to open'. According to Roman mythology, all month names begin with the name of a god. Accordingly, April is considered to be the month of the goddess Venus. The Greeks called Venus as Aphrodite. Accordingly, it is said that the word 'Aphloris', which means the month of the goddess Venus, was given to the month of April.
