In India when a girl gets married to her husband she gets married to his whole family. She starts a new journey of her life in hopes of having a new family and a person who will love her at her worst. She made new relations, got new names as bhabi, bahu, chachi, mami and so many more. One of the bond that a girl has to made after marriage is with her sister in law. So much has been said on this relation that it is always has been looked in a negative way. Well I guess thanks to our daily soaps and indian cinema where the bond is always been portrayed as a clashing one.
So when I got married I was also nervous on how will I be able to establish a good bond with my two sister in laws. But they made it so much easier. They treat me like their own little sister. They pamper me like a little kid, they give me advice when I needed it. We do bitching late night. We do each others make up. We inform each other when a sale is going on. They support me and encourage me to follow my dreams. We tease each other and do all the things that I used to do with my sisters and I m truly blessed to have them. I have learnt so much from them and look forward to enjoy each other's company more.
Yes compromise is what makes a relationship last long. But so does every other relationship. Efforts are required to make or break a relation. A relationship only grows when both the person involved are trying to make it work. It is not a one way process. Like a plant a relationship also need nourishment of love and care. As it is being rightly said "Action speak louder than words”.
The society needs to stop stereotyping this relationship as a negative one and woman as an enemy for another woman. And this change can come when we girls have each other's back. Instead of criticising one another, support each other. Be patient with each other and help each other grow together.
Lastly I want to conclude:
“Yes sister in laws can be friends and not just friends but sister not by blood but by heart."
This post is dedicated to all of my sisters.❤😘 thanks for supporting me and guiding me…
See you all soon❤
